We would like to invite you to a summer's evening to be suitable entertained by Tug of War matches whilst enjoying a delicious champagne and canapés reception. Matches will display the talents not only of MPs joining forces to take on the Peers but also Macmillan nurses and professionals, firefighters, police, military teams and rival law firms!

And from the exertion of lungs in one way to a somewhat different form of lung exertion – Opera with a twist – dine at Bel Canto in the City of London and be serenaded by budding opera singers throughout the evening
OPERA DINNERS
PARIS and LONDON
This London venue combines opera and fine
dining with an elegant twist. The waiting staff are talented
young opera stars of the future. At regular intervals
during the evening, up to four performers belt out opera
classics while moving between tables.
Every 15 minutes
without fail, the restaurant stops and the Puccini
begins; they perform a varied programme of popular
opera arias; even those unfamiliar with Opera will find
themselves humming along with the singers!
Bel Canto London was launched in 2008 in the heart
of the City and pairs French cuisine with flamboyant,
theatrical entertainment. The owner exported the idea
from his two successful Paris venues to tap into the high
quality of musical talent being nurtured in London.
All performers are trained opera singers and pianists,
specializing in classical opera.
As Wendy Miller of the Daily Telegraph says –
‘One minute, your waitress is putting warm crab gâteau in front of you, the next, she's strutting around the tables belting out La Habanera, from Bizet's Carmen, or joining in the festive, drinking-song quartet from La Traviata, with three of her colleagues.’
For more information – how to book – listen to the opera – go to:

Joke Corner – us blondes do get problems !!
BLONDE ON A PLANE
A PLANE IS ON ITS WAY TO TORONTO, WHEN A BLONDE IN
ECONOMY CLASS GETS UP, AND MOVES TO THE FIRST CLASS
SECTION AND SITS DOWN.
THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT WATCHES HER DO THIS, AND ASKS
TO SEE HER TICKET.
SHE THEN TELLS THE BLONDE THAT SHE PAID FOR ECONOMY
CLASS, AND THAT SHE WILL HAVE TO SIT IN THE BACK.
THE BLONDE REPLIES, "I'M BLONDE, I'M BEAUTIFUL, I'M
GOING TO TORONTO AND I'M STAYING RIGHT HERE."
THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT GOES INTO THE COCKPIT AND TELLS
THE PILOT AND THE CO-PILOT THAT THERE IS A BLONDE
BIMBO SITTING IN FIRST CLASS, THAT BELONGS IN
ECONOMY, AND WON'T MOVE BACK TO HER SEAT.
THE CO-PILOT GOES BACK TO THE BLONDE AND TRIES TO
EXPLAIN THAT BECAUSE SHE ONLY PAID FOR ECONOMY
SHE WILL HAVE TO LEAVE AND RETURN TO HER SEAT.
THE BLONDE REPLIES, "I'M BLONDE, I'M BEAUTIFUL, I'M
GOING TO TORONTO AND I'M STAYING RIGHT HERE."
THE CO-PILOT TELLS THE PILOT THAT HE PROBABLY SHOULD
HAVE THE POLICE WAITING WHEN THEY LAND TO ARREST
THIS BLONDE WOMAN, WHO WON'T LISTEN TO REASON.
THE PILOT SAYS, "YOU SAY SHE IS A BLONDE? I'LL
HANDLE THIS, I'M MARRIED TO A BLONDE - I SPEAK BLONDE."
HE GOES BACK TO THE BLONDE AND WHISPERS IN HER EAR,
AND SHE SAYS, "OH, I'M SORRY." AND GETS UP AND GOES
BACK TO HER SEAT IN ECONOMY.
THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT AND CO-PILOT ARE AMAZED AND
ASKED HIM WHAT HE SAID TO MAKE HER MOVE WITHOUT
ANY FUSS.
"I TOLD HER, "FIRST CLASS ISN'T GOING TO TORONTO ".
Gosh Really ??????
