From keeping fit to looking good and possibly a new career with –

The Image Academy

"Thank you for being an amazing mentor on the course. You have an incredible amount of knowledge and advice and I'm now fully prepared to pursue my career as a stylist. Not only did I learn so much, it boosted my confidence and best of all I had so much fun! I highly recommend the course to anyone wanting a career as a personal stylist.

Thanks Natalie" Sara Comfort

The Image Academy is one of Europe's most rapidly growing image consultancy schools. With offices based in Dublin, London and Sydney, you can be assured that you are choosing a course which will catapult you into the industry almost immediately after completion. Our course offers you the theory, the practical knowledge and the ‘start your own business’ knowledge to help you enter the industry almost immediately after the 5 days. Our main aim is that you can retrieve your course cost as soon as possible so that from then on you reap the rewards!

We provide fashion forward styling courses that have been set up specifically to offer a new level of professionalism and expertise to ‘wannabe’ stylists, PR professionals, boutique owners, high street retailers, fashion students and just about anyone who has a passion for fashion. Our tutors have extensive experience in all areas of image consulting, personal and fashion styling, make-up artistry and corporate training and development.

Image consultancy training across the world is renowned for being old fashioned, run by theorists, and offer very little insight into the actual making of a successful styling consultancy. This ultimately leads to a frustrated and disappointed candidate who comes out of training with little insight into a very dynamic and rewarding industry. Now with the arrival of The Image Academy, students can expect new insights into how to harness the power of social media and other novel business practices to ensure a successful career.

Shopping for a living has got to be one of the most desirable jobs out there and with the rise and rise of style reality programmes, there is no shortage of fashionistas queuing up to learn the ropes to make their mark on the fashion world! But contrary to popular belief, making a career out of being a stylist is certainly no easy feat.

Each course is given by an experienced tutor provided by The Image Academy who will provide real-life examples and experiences throughout the course notes, this practical knowledge will benefit all students throughout the 5 days. On the final day, all students will be given practical hands on experience of sourcing stores for each client based on their shape, height, size, budget and style and will also participate in make-up demonstrations.

So why should you choose to train with The Image Academy over any other styling agency??

Our courses are tailored to give you in-depth and practical information which will be used on a daily basis and will offer you the theory that will bring you from student to fashionista in a number of days!
The course is made up of 70 different topics and answers every question you may be faced with in the real world.
It covers everything from getting started to colour analysis, body analysis, makeup, corporate image, working in TV and magazines to starting your own business and getting your first client.
The course is very in-depth and can either be done in a group of ten or on one to one basis with a tutor.
Certificates are issued to all students who have successfully completed the course.
The benefit of our course is that you will receive a unique mentoring service and hands on experience with a professional Personal Stylist.
We do not believe in giving you the theory to teach yourself, our tutors are there to help you every step of the way and answer any questions you may have.
All students will have the opportunity to shadow an experienced Personal Stylist, thus knowing the format of the day and how to approach and work with clients.
Course commences - 04 February 2010

Joke Corner – Ladies short but sweet !!!!

An English professor wrote the words:

"A woman without her man is nothing"

on the blackboard and asked his students to punctuate it correctly.

All of the males in the class wrote:

"A woman, without her man, is nothing."

All the females in the class wrote:

"A woman: without her, man is nothing!!"

Please note the exclamation marks are my contribution to the punctuation !!

What does 2010 have in store for us ??

The partner of our dreams ??

Success with our careers ??

Let celebrity clairvoyant Valentin Borissov give you guidance

Celebrity clairvoyant Valentin Borissov is one of the top predictive advisors in the UK and internationally. Recognised for his extraordinary talent by members of royalty, pop stars and politicians, his advice is much sought after in Paris, Moscow Monaco, USA and South America.

Being a fluent Russian speaker, he has a large fan base of Russian clients.

Valentin sometimes is available to give readings over the telephone, but the majority of his clients prefer to consult him face to face and are prepared to travel to see him from all over the world.

Valentin is a frequent contributor to phone-in programmes on BBC Radio London’s Late Show and Foxy Radio. His double page article Mystical Leaders, where he discusses the interest in the occult amongst royalty, politicians and VIPs throughout history, appeared in ‘Predictions’ magazine. More recently, his economic and global political predictions were printed in the prestigious Citywealth magazine read by ultra high worth individuals. Valentin's vision about Prince William's romantic future was reported in April 2009 by The Mail on Sunday.

Valentin grew up in Sofia and studied as a concert pianist before going to Vienna to pursue his studies in literature. He inherited his psychic gifts from his grandmother, a Romanian countess, as the ability of second sight runs in the family. He realised at a young age that he had an insight into both the past and the future and could communicate with the spirit world. Visions of the fall of the World Trade Centre Towers in New York came to him in a dream a year before it happened!

To tune into the enveloping energies and to make his predictions, Valentin uses a combination of divining tools such as photo analysis, numerology, astrology, crystals and casting the Runes (the spiritually charged Nordic stones). Though Tarot cards are an important tool in his repertoire, Valentin also uses the little known cards designed by Madame Lenormand, astrologer to Napoleon Bonaparte.

Valentin is able to give amazingly accurate predictions and guidance whether the questions relate to business, politics, health or personal relationships.

Valentin is a popular figure on the international social circuit. He is a generous contributor to charities and sits on many committees.

Finally avant-garde opera – Second Movement celebrates it’s Fifth Birthday with a Recital evening at a private residence in Central London

Welcome to Second Movement

The opera company that showcases the best new talent in the opera world

At Second Movement the aim is to regenerate both opera and its audience in the UK. We achieve this through -

Staging modern, risk-taking productions of the highest quality that reject the conventional and traditional aspects of opera production
Performing opera in English to ensure immediate comprehensibility and dramatic integrity
Using unconventional spaces (warehouses, music halls, churches) which both challenge the parameters of the standard operatic experience while ensuring through the use of modest-sized venues that the words can be heard and understood
Using young talent thus exploiting both their energy and creating a feeling that this is a medium young people can relate to
Exploring one-act repertoire that allows surprising, flexible programming, challenges prejudice about the form, and unearths often rarely-performed works
Keeping ticket prices low to ensure that people pay little more than they would for a cinema ticket, thereby encouraging younger audiences
Establishing fruitful links with the other arts (for example dance, new writing and fine art) and in such collaboration regenerating both the form and people’s preconceptions of it
Fostering links with London communities, particularly through workshops with the young
